Collection Instructions | NOTE: Do Not collect specimen if bleeding hemorrhoids, or menstrual, constipation, or urinary bleeding are present Do Not allow specimen to come in contact with toilet water 1. Enter patient ID information on the Collection Tube label 2. Collect specimen in bedpan, a clean cup or clean container 3. Hold the tube upright with the light blue, rounded end pointed down 4. Unscrew the dark Sampler from the Collection Tube 5. Randomly pierce the specimen with the grooved end of the Sampler in no less than five (5) different areas of the stool 6. Insert the Sampler back into the Collection Tube and screw firmly to tighten it 7. Shake the tube to mix the specimen and the iFOB buffer. |
