Draw a fasting blood sugar before administering 75-gram glucose, and draw blood at one, two, and three hour intervals. Label each tube with patient's name, secondary identifier, and collection time interval (i.e. fasting, one-hour, two-hour, and three-hour).
Handling InstructionsSerum or Heparin Plasma must be separated from cells within one hour from collection. If specimen cannot be properly processed within 1 hour of collection, collect blood in Oxalate/Fluoride (Gray).
