CRP (High Sensitivity) | ALL | mg/L | CRP is... Note1 |
Note1:
CRP is an acute phase reactant and can be elevated in
various acute or chronic disease states. When used for
cardiovascular disease risk assessment the following
interpretations are based on guidelines put forth by the
CDC and AHA (Circulation.2003; 107:499-511)
hs-CRP level(mg/L) Relative Risk for CVD
------------------ ---------------------
<1.0 Low
1.0 - 3.0 Average
>3.0 High
A single CRP result should be repeated before assignment
of cardiovascular disease risk. Patients with confirmed
CRP result >10 mg/L should be evaluated for other sources
of inflammation or infection.
